Auction Services

At Morning Auctioneers, we hold two auctions each month on the second Friday and Saturday of the month. A small tool sale takes place on the Friday, followed by the plant and machinery auction on the Saturday.

Intake for each sale takes place on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the preceding week. These are the only dates on which items will be accepted, and no items can be taken after this period.

Please note: Strictly no furniture, wooden household doors, or bathroom equipment will be accepted. Strictly no tyres with less than 50% tread

Fees Structure

A €5 entry fee per lot and a €30 entry fee per vehicle apply to all sellers.

Sales commission is charged at a rate of 10% plus VAT on items sold for up to €1,000 and 5% plus VAT on items sold for over €1,000.

Buyers are subject to the same commission structure. A buyer’s commission of 10% plus VAT applies to items purchased for up to €1,000, and 5% plus VAT applies to items purchased for over €1,000. Buyer’s commission is payable in addition to the final hammer price.

There is no VAT on items unless stated by the Auctioneer or in the catalogue; however, VAT is applicable to all commission and fees.

How to participate

Seller Participation

Bring items to intake on the Thursday–Saturday before the auction. Register and provide your IBAN for payout, which is processed within 21 days after funds and checks clear. Read more about fees and payouts throughout the page.

Buyer Participation

To bid in-house, register on-site for a Morning Auctioneers bidder card (one-time fee of €5). This card can be used at any future auction. Buyers can also bid online via the Mart Eye app.

Payment & Collection

Payment to Sellers

Payouts to sellers can take up to 21 days after the auction. This is because funds must be collected from buyers and any necessary checks must clear before payouts can be processed.

Bank transfer is the preferred method, as it is faster and more reliable. When sellers register with us, we request their IBAN to enable quicker payouts.

Collection of Items (Buyers & Sellers)

All purchased items and unsold items must be collected by the Monday after the auction at 7:30pm. This applies to both buyers and sellers. Items not collected by this deadline may incur storage fees.

Online Bidding

Online bidding is available through the Mart Eye app. Online bidders must register and be approved before the auction begins. If you place a bid online, it is your responsibility to ensure you are bidding only on items you want, as any winning bid is binding. Where a lot is sold conditionally, the auctioneer will announce the winning bidder’s name and confirm the lot is sold conditionally to them.

The vendor will then be contacted to confirm whether the bid is accepted, and the bidder will be notified of the outcome. Online bidders are subject to the same fees and terms as in-house bidders, and all items are sold “as seen” with no returns or refunds. Read more about fees & terms here.

Important note: Conditional sales are binding once the bid is accepted by the vendor. Buyers cannot withdraw, refuse, or transfer conditional bids after being announced as the winning bidder.

DISCLAIMER...All items are sold “as seen” with no returns or refunds. Commission is 10% + VAT up to €1,000 and 5% + VAT over €1,000 (buyers and sellers). Payment is due on the day of the auction, and conditional sales may apply.
